Breast Balm
If your breasts feel sore, swollen, or sensitive before your period—or you experience ongoing tenderness due to fibrocystic breast tissue—you’re not alone. Thousands of women are told “it’s normal” to have breast pain, but discomfort shouldn’t be a monthly ritual.
MoonMaid Botanicals' Breast Balm is a comforting, herb-infused salve crafted to help:
Cyclical breast tenderness before your period or post-menopause
Fibrocystic breast tissue or constant “lumpiness”
Post-breastfeeding tissue support
Lymphatic drainage massage
Tenderness after surgery, biopsy, or radiation
Supporting immune flow through breast and underarm areas
Lower belly massage for fibroids or endo flare-ups
NOT APPROPRIATE FOR NURSING MOMS!
Massage a small amount of Breast Balm into the breasts, underarms, and upper chest area 1–2 times daily.
Use light, circular motions to encourage lymphatic drainage
For best results, apply after a shower when skin is warm
Can be used as part of daily breast self-care, or during cycles of pain and swelling
💡 Many women also apply the balm to the lower abdomen for fibroid, cyst, or endometriosis-related tenderness.
Poke root is a powerful lymphatic herb, traditionally used to soften fibrocystic tissue, ease swollen glands, and promote detoxification. It can be toxic if ingested in large amounts, but in this topical formula, it's safe, diluted, and expertly balanced with many other herbs.
We use poke root root in small quantities, infused over time in an oil base—not in a concentrated extract form.
Yes! This balm was formulated with poke root, St. John’s Wort, and sweet orange oil—herbs known to stimulate lymph flow and encourage healthy drainage of fluid and waste from breast and underarm tissues.
Massage in light, upward strokes to assist lymph movement and relieve congestion.
Yes, with care. Many women use Breast Balm™ after lumpectomy, mastectomy, or radiation to soothe scar tissue, calm inflammation, and support lymphatic drainage. It's gentle, deeply nourishing, and made with whole herbs.
Always consult with your oncologist or care provider, particularily if you're in active treatment.
Yes. Many women report that with consistent use, their breasts feel less full, lumpy, or painful, especially before periods. The balm helps decongest dense tissue and relieve the ache of monthly breast changes.
Breast Balm is not a cancer treatment or cure, but it does support:
Lymphatic cleansing
Tissue nourishment
Daily self-awareness practices like breast massage
Regular self-care helps you notice changes early, reduce inflammation, and improve immune flow—all beneficial for breast health.
Breast massage is simple, soothing, and empowering. Here's how:
Apply Breast Balm to your hands or directly to breasts
Use light circular motions, moving from the outer breast inward
Follow with gentle upward strokes from under the breast toward the underarm
Massage both breasts for 3–5 minutes each use
Use daily or 2-3x a week, especially before your cycle or bedtime
This practice boosts lymphatic flow, relieves soreness, and increases self-awareness for early detection.
Each jar typically lasts 2–4 months, depending on how often and how generously you use it. A little goes a long way for most individuals, unless they are using it frequently for more intensive reasons.
We don’t recommend it during pregnancy or lactation due to poke root and thuja oil, which are traditionally avoided during these times. For tender breasts during this stage, a plain calendula or chamomile salve may be a better option.
